The Weight of The World (or TWOTW) is a longform serial that pays homage to the format used in Tumblr roleplay from roughly 2012 to present. Originating as an RP blog circa 2014-2015, TWOTW is independently rewritten and uses icons that vary in both relative character accuracy and art style, emulating the feeling of using faceclaims to portray one's original characters.

TWOTW blends character-driven fantasy adventure with a layered in-universe history of gods, magic, and political intrigue. Following Atlas and Janet—two childhood friends who grew up unaware of the outside world—the story unfolds in episodic arcs aboard a mysterious airship.

As they learn to wield their respective magics, the two gather a mismatched crew of shapeshifters, assassins, and even gods, each with their own tangled loyalties and pasts. What begins as an effort to undo one mistake slowly expands into a globe-spanning quest to uncover the truth about Aerumna—a force born from the fusion of trauma and magic—and the long-buried histories of the world’s creation.
